Come Aboard the Startup Platform for College Students via “2016 Startup Express!”

The KUBS Startup Station at Korea University Business School (KUBS, Dean Dong-One Kim) will hold a startup competition called “2016 Startup Express” to select creative startup teams. The following competition is hosted by the KUBS Startup Station and supervised by the Iljin Startup Incubation Center.

Students must submit their application and business idea plan by June 25 (Sat) via email (

kubspr@adm.korea.ac.kr

) and a business idea plan must be at least 2 pages. Presentation materials will be accepted until June 28 (Tue). The initial screening results will be announced on June 29 (Wed) and successful applicants will give a presentation on July 1 (Fri). The final results and award ceremony will be announced and held within a week after the presentation.

The 2016 Startup Express will be judged by the director of the KUBS Startup Station and delegates from Iljin Group. The judging criteria include △creativity and feasibility of business model, △business valuation, △research and analysis, etc. One Grand Prize, one First Prize, and two Encouragement Awards will be awarded. A winning team will receive operating expenses as moving into the Iljin Startup Incubation Center at KUBS Startup Station, which is scheduled to be completed in September. In addition, competition participants who have not been awarded may have an opportunity to move into the station depending on the quality of their business model. After the move-in, students will receive continued support and feedback from mentors consisting of △senior entrepreneurs, △industrial experts, △venture capitalists, etc.
