As Korea University Business School is launching KUBS Startup Institute, KUBS Main Building was renovated extensively. This project is the second time renovation of the KUBS Main Building after its construction completed in 1972. The renovation, which began in July, was completed in three months, including its design. Core administrative services are provided at KUBS Main Building having a total floor area of 6,097 m
2
(approximately 1,800-pyeong wide). KUBS Dean’s Office, Associate Dean’s Offices, Administrative Office supporting over 2,000 undergraduates, and Faculty Lounge are located on the first floor of the building.

As KUBS Startup Institute nests on the second floor, KUBS International Office, Career Hub, and other administrative offices, which were previously located on the 2nd floor, are moved to the third floor. The faculty offices are located on the fourth floor, as well as Student Association Offices and KUBS Ladies Lounges that are convenient for student use. The fifth floor consists of faculty offices, Ph.D. offices, and KUBS Fitness Center. In addition, the building has improved its research and work environment by installing a ladies room on each floor, except the first floor.

KUBS Main Building has become an emblematic architecture along with its long history and cutting-edge facilities. “The new KUBS Main Building will be a place that satisfies both students and staff,” Dean Dong-One Kim said. “Through this renovation, I hope our building helps many persons think creatively and build a network while their visit at KUBS.”
